Q. How long does it take to preserve and frame sugar flowers?
A. Minimum 12 weeks.
Q. How long does it take to frame any non-fresh flower or non-sugar
flower item?
A. Minimum 12 weeks.
Q. What type of flowers can Janelle Keogh’s Floral Designs preserve?
A. Our preservation process allows us to preserve all
flowers. However, some flowers do preserve better than others. We
recommend you view our gallery and look for similar flowers to what will
be in your bouquet. The better condition the bouquet is on arrival, the
better finished result we can give back to you. So it is important to
read the "Pre-Preservation Flower Care" page.
Q. How does my bouquet fit into the frame?
A. When we receive your bouquet, we take a photo. Then
we will dismantle your bouquet for the preservation process. Once preserved,
we re-colour,
re-create your bouquet, cut the mats and build the shadow box frame.
Your bouquet will be in 3 dimensions, but not as deep as it was on the
day.
Q. A couple of the flowers in my bouquet are bruised. Can it still be
preserved?
A. When we preserve your bouquet we preserve all the
blooms. Re-colour all the blooms, and use the best of your blooms to
re-create your bouquet. If your bouquet requires a few replacement
flowers we will let you know.
Q. Will my flowers look fresh?
A. The preserving process we use, allows us to preserve
flowers to look as fresh as preserved flowers can look. Keep in mind,
the better the condition
your bouquet is in when we receive it, the better the preserved bouquet
we can give back to you.
Q. Will my bouquet turn brown in time?
A. We re-colour your bouquet so if in the future the
natural colour fades, your flowers will still look good. We do recommend
you follow our hanging
instructions (these instructions are on the back of the framed bouquet).
Q. Will my bouquet be the same colour?
A. Flowers are like people, they
contain a lot of water. Once preserved they will be a little darker.
We do re-colour the bouquet as close as possible to its natural colour.
For example red roses will become burgundy and white roses will become
ivory.
Q. What will it cost to have my bouquet preserved?
A. You determine the price, depending on the frame you
choose, the size of the bouquet and any additional memorabilia you choose
to add. The starting price is $380 with in studio specials. The average
bouquet preserved and framed is $450. We recommend you view the "Framing
Options & Pricing" page for more details.
Q. Are there any additional fees?
A. The following incurs additional fees:- replacement
flowers, larger then standard sized bouquet and frame, a plaque, memorabilia
added to the shadow box frame and pick-up and delivery costs. We recommend
you view the "Framing Options & Pricing" page for more
details.
